Ms. I.
ARTISTIC DIRECTOR/instructor
When God called Ms. I., a New Orleans native, to Augusta, GA in 2003, He appointed her to the city with a specific mission: teach young women and girls the Word of God, and invite them into relationship with Jesus Christ. Praise Movement is the avenue she uses to do that. It's been the joy of her heart, every summer since 2005, to teach, guide, and mentor girls all over the CSRA (Central Savannah River Area). Many have come to know Christ through the Praise Movement ministry and have given Him their hearts, and others who were already in relationship with Him, but weren't living a Christ-reflective life, have decided to live a life that pleases Him. Ms. I. always says, "Dance brings them each year, but it's the Word of God that keeps them."
Ms. I. loves teaching God's word in ways that the girls (ages 5-16) understand. It's her heart's desire that they walk away knowing who God is, what Jesus' sacrifice means for them, and that they CAN live a life that pleases Him, no matter their age.
Outside of dance camp, Ms. I. is a workshop and conference dance facilitator, speaker, and teacher of the Word, and she is a full time middle school Language Arts teacher with the Richmond County School System. Ms. I. is also the author of Stories That Teach Girls: A 30-Day Walk Through Girls' Life Lessons With Gods Word and Developing Your Dance Ministry Workshop Workbook.
Romans 6:13 (NIV) is a verse of scripture that Ms. I. believes covers it all. It reads, "Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather, offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life, and offer the parts of your body to Him as instruments of righteousness." This verse is Praise Movement's scriptural focus.

MAYA BROWN, instructorMaya joined the Praise Movement family in 2008 as a camper and attended dance camp every summer thereafter. When Praise Movement opened its doors for year-round classes in 2011 and 2012, Maya was one of the elite dance school dancers. She made her Sweet Sixteen choreography debut in 2015. This is her second year as an instructor. Ms. I. has titled her the Praise Movement evangelist because Maya has a genuine love for God and the Praise Movement ministry and wants others to have that love too. Every year, she tells anyone who will listen about dance camp and invites them to join her.
Maya is a 2017 graduate of Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School. She was recognized as an honor grad in Fine Arts and for leadership in the arts. She is a Comcast Leaders and Achievers Scholar and she received volunteerism honor recognition. Maya will be attending college in Atlanta, GA this fall. She lives by Matthew 28:19-20 (NIV). It says, “Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.” krislyn davis, instructor
Krislyn has literally grown up in the Praise Movement family. Her first year as a camper was 2007 when she was just 10 years old! She went from being a camper (2007-2012) to making her Sweet Sixteen choreography debut in 2013. And in 2014, when Praise Movement opened its camp doors to 5, 6 & 7 year olds, Krislyn became a part of history as the first instructor of that age group. She was the PERFECT instructor for the babies of the camp...hand picked by God! Because of her patience, tender care, and age-appropriate instruction, she was asked to serve as the 5-7 year old lead instructor for 2015 and 2016, and now 2017.
Krislyn is entering her 4th year of college. She is studying psychology and plans to become a child and adolescent psychologist. Krislyn is the vice president of Psi Chi International Honor Society in Psychology and she is an active member of Alpha Delta Pi Sorority. Krislyn finds peace in Psalm 23:4 (NIV), which says, "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me." kiara LEE, instructor
Kiara joined the Praise Movement family as an instructor in 2015. When Ms. I. was asked to start a dance ministry at Kiara’s church and had the opportunity to teach Kiara, she saw not only a good dancer, but a leader. In talking with Kiara at rehearsals and observing her with the other dancers at her church, Ms. I. saw a dim, timid light in her that she prayerfully sought to nurture into a bright, bold flame. Ms. I. wanted to see Kiara with other girls who were not only good dancers, but passionate about making disciples so they could help foster the same passion in Kiara. Hence, Ms. I. asked Kiara to bring her dance skills and outstanding leadership to the staff, and she gladly accepted. She has been quite a leader on the dance camp staff.
Kiara is a 2017 graduate of Lakeside High School where she dominated in softball. She is headed to South Carolina in the fall to further her studies and continue her softball career. Kiara is encouraged by Philippians 4:13 (NKJV). It says, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." tyler tucker, INSTRUCTOR
Tyler was the first Praise Movement dancer to be named A True Praise Movement Dancer, and she is the only one, to date, to hold that title. Tyler's first year as a dancer was 2008 when she was 9 years old (the minimum age was 9 in 2008). That year, at camp, Tyler confessed Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior and asked Him into her heart. She attended dance camp every summer thereafter. When Praise Movement opened its doors for year-round classes in 2011 and 2012, Tyler was one of the elite dance school dancers. Then, when Praise Movement went on its very first Let’s Dance Tour in the CSRA in 2014, Tyler was one of the 8 girls to make history and serve on the Tour Team. She made her Sweet Sixteen choreography debut in 2016, and now, to add to her long walk through the years with the ministry, she will be serving as a dance camp instructor for the first time.
Tyler is a 2017 graduate of Grovetown High School where she was a member of Student Council. From 9th to 11th grade she was a member of the Army JROTC Drill Team. In the fall, she will be studying Nursing in southern Georgia. Tyler lets Deuteronomy 28:13 rest in her heart. It says, "The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom." Bronwyn GLOVER

Ciara daley, instructor
Ciara's first year as a Praise Movement dancer was 2012 and she attended dance camp every year thereafter. She served on the 2015 Let's Dance Tour Team, traveling to Aiken, SC; Savannah, GA; and Lincolnton, GA to minister the word of God through dance to girls, ages 10-16. She made her Sweet Sixteen choreography debut in 2016. This is Ciara's first year as in instructor.
Ciara is entering her senior year of high school. She plays soccer and is a member of the American Patriotism Club (APC). She was on the A/B Honor Roll all year. The scripture that rests in Ciara's heart is John 3:16 (NIV), which says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." asia LEE, instructor
Asia, too, has gone through all of the Praise Movement ranks. Her first year as a camper was 2008 when she was 9 years old. She attended camp with MUCH excitement every summer thereafter through 2014. Then, when Praise Movement went on its very first Let’s Dance Tour in the CSRA in 2014, Asia was one of the 8 girls to make history and serve on the Tour Team. She made her Sweet Sixteen choreography debut in 2015 and this is her second year as a camp instructor.
Asia is a 2017 graduate of Davidson Fine Arts Magnet School. While there she participated in technical theater and dance, and advanced to, and excelled at the highest level, Level 4, in both areas. Asia received Top Stage Manager for The Crucible 2017, Best Tech Thespian 2017, and the Assistant Technical Director Award. She was a National Honor Thespian and a member of the National Honor Society for Dance Arts and the National Science Honor Society. Asia also served as vice president of the poetry club and still makes public appearances throughout the CSRA performing original spoken word pieces. She will attend college in Atlanta, GA in the fall. Asia lives by 1 Timothy 4:12 (NIV). It says, “Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith, and in purity.” Jamie price, INSTRUCTOR
Jamie is the baby of the team in age, but definitely not in ability, maturity or leadership. Jamie was a member of the Faith Outreach WEST teen dance ministry when her dancing and leadership stood out to Ms. I. There was no doubt that Jamie had what it took to lead as a dance camp instructor, so Ms. I. asked her to join the Praise Movement family last summer. Just as expected, Jamie exhibited outstanding leadership during her first year, so she was asked to return this summer, and she gladly accepted.
Jamie is entering her sophomore year in high school. She is a member of Student Council. She was awarded the highest average in 9th grade algebra and is a two-time recipient of citizenship awards from previous years. A scripture that she holds close to her heart is James 2:26. It says, "For as the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without works is dead also." maurianna wright, instructor
Maurianna (Mauri) began her Praise Movement journey in 2008. She attended dance camp every summer thereafter, except for 2014 because she had an academic obligation. Mauri made her Sweet Sixteen choreography debut in 2016 and then turned around and served on the 2016 Let's Dance Tour Team where she exhibited outstanding leadership, grace and patience with girls from all over the CSRA and Savannah, GA. It was evident to Ms. I. that Mauri would serve well as a dance camp instructor. When asked to join the 2017 staff, Mauri gladly accepted.
Mauri is a 2017 graduate of A.R. Johnson Health Science & Engineering Magnet School. She holds a CNA certification and a PCT certification. In the fall, Mauri will begin her freshman year in college where she'll be studying Nursing. Mauri holds Proverbs 4:23 (NIV) close to her heart. It reads, "Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it." mita lee
