Biblical Instruction
Praise Movement believes the word of God is the final authority by which our lives are governed, and that we have been created and called to share God's word with others through dance. Hence, dancers receive biblical instruction in every dance session, as they cannot learn to present "movement" of God's word without first learning it. Dancers are required to memorize, recite, and display "movement" of scripture on a continual basis.
Praise Movement's foundation for expression and movement lies in Romans 6:13 (NIV). It reads, "Do not offer the parts of your body to sin, as instruments of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God, as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer the parts of your body to him as instruments of righteousness."
Some recurring topics of study for dancers are...
- Who is God?
- Who is Jesus?
- Who is the Holy Spirit?
- What is ministry?
- Who am I in Christ?
- How do I discover my gifts?
- How can I use my gifts to help others?
